Purchase options and add-ons
A childhood promise. An unbreakable bond. One tragic event that shatters everything.
It all started with the boys next door…
Devin and Ayden were my best friends. We were practically joined at the hip since age two. When we were kids, we thought we were invincible, inseparable, that nothing or no one could come between us.
But we were wrong.
Everything turned to crap our senior year of high school.
Devin was turning into a clone of his deadbeat lowlife father—fighting, getting wasted, and screwing his way through every girl in town. I’d been hiding a secret crush on him for years. Afraid to tell him how I felt in case I ruined everything. So, I kept quiet and slowly watched him self-destruct with a constant ache in my heart.
Where Devin was all brooding darkness, Ayden was the shining light. Our star quarterback with the bright future whom everyone loved. But something wasn’t right. He was so guarded, and he wouldn’t let me in.
When Devin publicly shamed me, Ayden took my side, and our awesome-threesome bond was severed. The split was devastating. The heartbreak inevitable.
Ayden and I moved on with our lives, but the pain never lessened, and Devin was never far from our thoughts.
Until it all came to a head in college, and one eventful night changed everything.
Now, I’ve lost the two people who matter more to me than life itself. Nothing will ever be the same again.
A standalone new adult contemporary romance with a happy ending. Only suitable for readers aged eighteen and older due to mature content and possible triggers.

Angelina - Present Day
Life is just a flow of interconnecting moments in time. A combination of well-thought-out actions and spontaneous reactions. A sequence of events and people moving in and out of your personal stratosphere.
At least, that's how I've always viewed it.
Like a squiggly line veering up and down with no apparent pattern. Plotting the highs; pinpointing the lows. Showcasing the happy times. Highlighting the mistakes and the resulting consequences. Calling into focus all the myriad of things I should've done differently if I had known.
When I was a kid, I was obsessed with the notion of time--making a beeline for the fortune teller every year when the carnival descended on the wide, open grassy field just outside town. I saved my pocket money all year round so I could have my fortune told. The idea that you could see into the future, to know what was around the corner, held an enormous fascination for me.
I wanted to make something of my life.
To dedicate myself to a profession that helped others.
To know happiness awaited me.
To receive confirmation that the two most important people in my life would always be in it. Because even the thought I could lose Ayden or Devin always sent horrific tremors of fear rushing through me.
For as long as I can remember, it had always been the three of us. Best friends to the end. The awesome-threesome. Forever infinity. It was a friendship more akin to family. A meeting of minds and hearts and promises. A connection so deep that we swore nothing or no one would ever come between us. We committed ourselves in a secret bond when we were twelve, and the commitment was imprinted on my heart in the same way it was inked on my skin.
I could never have predicted what was to come.
That I'd be the one to destroy everything.
No fortune teller ever told me that.
For years, I've thought of nothing but the what-ifs and obsessed over so many questions.
What if a fortune teller had told me what would come to pass?
Would things have been different?
What would I change?
Would I have had the strength to stay away from my two best friends? To forge a completely different path in life? To deny something that was intrinsically a part of myself? Could I slice my heart apart knowing it was the right thing to do?
For years these questions have plagued me.
But I'm too afraid to confront the truth, even though it's front and center. Even though I carry it with me like a thundercloud, hovering and threatening but never opening up, never letting the storm loose.
Some truths are far too painful to acknowledge out loud.
As if to speak the words would confirm what I already know about myself.
That I'm weak, selfish, and not at all the person I thought I was.
Perhaps that's why we don't have that cognitive ability--to see the future, to know what lies ahead. I've thought of it often. If it's evolution. If at some time in the future humans will be able to sense the path of their destiny. To alter their fate. To assume full control over every aspect of their life with conscious decision.
For now, all I've got is that squiggly line and a huge helping of regret.
What good comes from continually looking back? From locking myself in the haunted mansion of my past? Meandering with the ghosts of guilt and shame? For a girl who spent her happy youth so focused on the future, it's a very sorry state of affairs. But I'm stuck in this washing machine that is my so-called life. The faster it churns, the more I lose myself. So, I try to stop time. To stand still. To numb myself to my reality. To blank out feeling and emotion. To close myself off. To never allow another human to imprint on my heart or to see into the black, murky depths of my soul.
The honest truth is, if I'd had a crystal ball--if I'd known what was going to happen--I still wouldn't have changed a thing.
Because I would've missed those high points. Those happy memories that are the only thing keeping me alive right now.
If that's what you can call my current existence.
And that makes me the most selfish, conceited liar on the planet.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 3, 2025Siobhan Davis writes emotional books every time. Inseparable is about the friendship of Ayden, Devin and Angelina. It is heartbreaking and heartwarming rolled together. I've read it, listened to it twice, and certain I will listen again in the future. A riveting storyline that has you immersed into it and invested in the characters. a great ending.
The narrators were excellent! They gave emotion performances that had the audiobook rolling in my head. love their voices.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 6, 2025Siobhan Davis delivers another gut-wrenching romance, a gripping friends-to-lovers story filled with heartbreak, secrets, and redemption. Angelina, Devin, and Ayden were inseparable until betrayal and pain tore them apart. The emotional depth is overwhelming, with time jumps beautifully capturing their growth and struggles. Narrators Lia Holland and Michael Gallagher bring the characters to life, adding raw intensity to every moment. Davis masterfully blends angst, love, and devastation, making this an unforgettable listen. While some elements feel familiar to her other works, the powerful storytelling keeps you hooked. Prepare for an emotional rollercoaster.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 19, 2025I don’t even know where to begin. One, I have a love/hate relationship with this author because of the emotional pain she inflicts on me with her stories. Two, despite that pain, I’ll still continue to read her works because they are so powerful. Three, this one hurt so much. There were times when I wanted to rip my hair out because there were so many unanswered questions and turmoil I was positive they could never move past. But because these characters were so incredible, their story was full of grace, heartache, and love. I commend this author for continuously writing her characters with equal parts weakness and strength. The time jumps in the novel were effortless and added so much to the story. You got to watch these characters grow in more ways than 1, and I’ll think about this story for a very long time.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 23, 2017This is the first review where I had to wait a handful of days until I was ready to tackle writing it. The story is still sinking in, and I know it is one of those that I will never forget. I even snickered at the thought that Siobhan could have titled this “Unforgettable” and still have been spot-on. Have you ever felt as though you connect with the characters on such a deep level that your brain begins to believe they are actual human beings and it physically hurts when the story ends—AKA the book hangover? Well, this was one of those times for me. It has been too hard to move on with another book, so I have just been binge-watching shows on Hulu while moping around in my pajamas. I will warn you, this is a very emotional read. I found myself needing to go over some scenes a few times because I was crying so hard; therefore, you may want to have a box of tissues handy.
The story focuses on three characters who grew up as neighbors and were inseparable until high school. I am sure you are all familiar with the many obstacles we face throughout our youth which can make or break relationships, and you will experience that and then some while reading this. This is a story of what happens when life gets in the way.
We have Angelina, the ideal girl-next-door, Devin, the sexy bad boy, and Ayden, the all-American dream boy. What I enjoyed the most from Inseparable was seeing how each main character dealt with the issues that get thrown at them. I also loved how these characters are followed over an extended period of time, something that most romance books don’t offer outside of a couple of chapters or so in an epilogue. Not only do we get to see how these characters life choices play out in high school and college, but we also get to see how these decisions shape them as adults. Angelina is obsessed with fortune tellers as a kid, and I compare this story to a fortune teller, showing us possible paths our lives can take and the outcomes. We get to see three main routes the characters choose after hitting rock bottom, and I believe that after witnessing the consequences, many will feel motivated to make some changes in their own lives. I know I did.
The slow-building, friends-to-lovers romance in this book is also one of my favorites. This is not a story of puppy love. This is a story of the kind of love that comes with heartache, sacrifices, and absolute devotion. The kind that includes the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. The kind that we all deserve. If only there was a better word to describe how beautiful the romance in this book is.
Now, this story is mostly Angelina’s POV; however, that will not prevent you from feeling connected to the other characters because Siobhan has well-written dialogue to keep us in the others’ minds. Since each main character responds to life so differently than the others, we have very complex individuals and I feel that you will find at least one you can relate to. The character I felt the closest to is currently tied in first place as one of my favorites, and I don’t want to give anything away, but watching this character transform over the years was beautiful. It was rewarding to see them change over time.
For those that are new to Siobhan Davis: if you enjoy reading books where the authors aren’t afraid to cover difficult issues, such as Brittainy C. Cherry, you are going to love this. After this, you must check out Siobhan’s other series!

3.0 out of 5 stars Decepcionada

5.0 out of 5 stars A Book Not To Be Missed
I knew this book was going to be great before I started reading it as Siobhan Davis never fails to deliver an unforgettable story but I was not prepared for the emotional ride that Inseparable would take me on. Siobhan Davis’ cleverly crafted words allowed me to really get to know ‘the awesome-threesome’ and I became so involved in their story that I felt like I'd lost good friends once it had ended. I was unable to stop thinking about them for days after and had to keep reminding myself that Angelina, Devin and Ayden were just fictional characters created by one of my favourite authors.
‘The awesome -threesome will never die. Best friends for infinity. No matter what, we will always be there for each other.’ - Angelina, Devin and Ayden
I loved how Siobhan Davis wrote the story in three parts and each one covered a different time period in Angelina, Devin and Ayden’s journeys. Each one gave you surprises along the way and left you unsure of what was going to happen next. I couldn't put this book down and I can honestly say this is my favourite book by Siobhan Davis so far. What an amazing first contemporary romance to have written! If you've not yet read this breathtakingly and powerful story then I urge you to download it today as you won't be disappointed.
*I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book and all opinions are my own.

5.0 out of 5 stars This was a wonderful story! ALL THE FEELS!!!
I’m still so overwhelmed.....!
In this review there’s no clue about the content. I want all the readers to have the same experience as I had.
INSEPARABLE flew by and was over too fast. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a big book. But it felt like the clock ran faster because of all the ups and downs and the things in between. Thank god for coffee and Christmas cookies....otherwise I’d have bitten my nails down to raw flesh.
The story was so gripping and OMG, THE FEELS! It definitely puts you through the wringer.
You know, we all have done things we’re not proud of, we all had times in our live where we saw no other choice to react like we did.
The main characters in this book are facing many demons. They go through desolate places, have to climb over obstacles on their road of life and still are rising out of the muddy waters they’ve been in.
I felt it all and could relate to many things they’ve gone through.
Inseparable shows we‘re all human and make choices who hurt people. It shows that it’s okay to have made these choices, because otherwise we wouldn’t have learned from our mistakes.
Siobhan Davis gave me new resolve to dig deeper, ask more, be more supportive when it comes to the people who are dear to me.
This is a story of fighting, breaking, learning and healing. And Inseparable states the fact that it’s never good to keep holding secrets for too long or that you have to go through all your battles alone. It’s in our nature to seek out THE ONE. We share with this person all these beautiful moments, why not also share the ugly ones? Because it could show our vulnerability or weakness? But isn’t it also showing your strength?
INSEPARABLE is such a wonderful book. I’ve learned some good stuff from it.
I hope it gets recognized and snatched up from many, many readers. It would so deserve this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Full gamut of emotions
This is the beautiful, complex story of Angelina, Devin and Ayden and the friendship that connected and changed them. Each had their own struggles and stories that fought to separate them across the years. This book deals heavily with mental health issues and their impacts on sufferers and loved ones alike.
Siobhan’s writing is - as usual - wonderful. Her ability to convey emotional pain is extraordinary. I love how her stories are set over a number of years so we can see how time and age affect the story. This book certainly holds up for a reread and is well worth the effort.

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible
Had bought the book a while ago but something kept me from reading. I did read it and could not stop. So much emotion, happiness and pain written in one book. I never have cried so much. Thank you Siobhan. You never disappoint me with any of your books. You are one of the best writers i know
